It wouldn't necessarily have to be as.... huggable, but I'm sure the children would love something they could interact with, that also helps them feel safe.

And whatever size you can make possible is more than fine. It doesn't even have to be humanoid, if another form is easier.

Oh, yes. My own skills lie mostly in mechanical engineering, but I often work with a friend who specializes in the electrical side of things.

Of course. The technology here is ahead and behind in some ways. We don't have hovercraft, but our energy production is much cleaner.

Solar power, primarily. It was mainly a question of getting Government support, but I have friends in that area who were quite proud of their success.
